Alaska Airlines has launched four new daily, year-round nonstop flights to San Diego Airport (SAN) from Oakland San Francisco Bay Airport (OAK), with services set to begin on 22 April 2026.

The new service will utilise an Embraer E175 aircraft and will offer a direct connection between two of California’s coastal cities.

Port of Oakland Director of Aviation Craig Simon, said:

We’re thrilled that Alaska Airlines continues to invest in Oakland and expand its service offerings.

The new flights to San Diego will provide our travelers with more flexibility and convenience and will strengthen our role as a key gateway for intra-California travel.

Kirsten Amrine, Vice President of Revenue Management and Network Planning at Alaska Airline, said:

We’re excited to grow in Oakland with the addition of four daily, year-round flights to San Diego – offering an additional way to connect our guests in the vibrant Bay Area with dynamic Southern California.

From Oakland, our flyers can also take advantage of nonstop flights to Seattle and Portland, and enjoy nonstop service to Honolulu, Maui and Kauai.
