The Bahrain Airport Company (BAC), which operates and manages Bahrain International Airport (BIA), has announced that preparations are now underway to renew its long-term partnership with SITA.
The announcement was made during Gateway Gulf 2025, which was held at the Four Seasons Hotel between 2–3 November 2025.

Revealed in the presence of Ahmed Naeemi, Gulf Air Group Chief Technology Officer, and Adonis Succar, Vice President, Business Development; the renewal will cover the maintenance and support of mission-critical airport systems powering BIA’s operations, from passenger processing to flight management.
BIA is responsible for flight operations, passenger check-in, security validation and baggage reconciliation, with SITA-powered systems supporting a large portion of the passenger journey including check-in and boarding. SITA systems also allow for real-time data sharing amongst airlines, ground handlers and airport operations teams.
