United Kingdom regional operator Eastern Airways has suspended all operations, with all scheduled flights cancelled.
The company is now on the brink of collapse, with the UK Civil Aviation Authority’s Consumer & Markets Director, Selina Chadha, urging those affected to visit the regulator’s website for up to date information.

Travellers have been advised not to go to the airport and instead utilise free Standard Class travel now being offered to Eastern Airways staff and customers by London and North Eastern Railway (LNER), ScotRail, TransPennine Express (TPE), GWR and Northern until tomorrow (30 October).
Scottish regional airline Loganair has stated it will offer stranded passengers special airfares on flights between Aberdeen and Kirkwall or Sumburgh for departures until tomorrow (30 October).
The CAA has advised anyone affected by the cancellation of flights to utilise protection provided by card issuers when seeking a refund.
Eastern Airways bosses filed a notice of intention to appoint an administrator at the Insolvency and Companies Court this past Monday.
