Centralny Port Komunikacyjny (CPK) has confirmed the list of construction companies that have applied to build the passenger terminal for its new airport.
The announcement follows the launch of a competitive dialogue procedure in late May. Five consortia, bringing together 16 companies in total, have submitted applications for the contract, which is valued at more than 5 billion PLN.

The passenger terminal contract is one of the most significant construction elements of the CPK programme. Once applications are reviewed and assessed, and if the formal criteria are met, the selected consortia will be invited to the dialogue stage. Contractors will then submit construction bids, after which CPK will select the winning bidder and sign the contract.
Dr Filip Czernicki, Chief Executive of CPK, said:CPK is steadily progressing through the stages of airport construction, one of the most significant infrastructure projects in Central and Eastern Europe. The participation of such experienced contractors is a strong signal that the market recognises the investment’s enormous potential, both economically and commercially.
Each consortium includes Polish companies, with 14 of the country’s largest construction firms taking part. International partners are also represented, including firms from Germany and Belgium. Experience in delivering large-scale infrastructure is expected to play a decisive role in the evaluation process.
The signing of the terminal construction contract is scheduled for 2026. That year, piling works for the foundations are due to begin, with main construction to conclude by the end of 2031.
The airport is planned to open in 2032, following certification, alongside the first section of the Warsaw–Łódź High-Speed Rail line.
The terminal will cover around 450,000 square metres and serve as the central hub of the new airport. At opening, it will feature nearly 140 check-in and baggage counters, with provision for 30 more if required. Initial capacity will be 34 million passengers annually, rising to 44 million in later phases.
