FlixBus is expanding its UK airport coach network through a partnership with Prospect Coaches, introducing new direct services between Manchester and London Heathrow and Gatwick airports from 5 February.
The new route will operate three services per day in each direction at launch, increasing to six daily services by April. Stops on the route include Manchester Shudehill, Manchester Airport, Stoke-on-Trent, Coventry, London Heathrow Central Bus Station, Heathrow Terminal 5 and Gatwick Airport terminals.

As part of the expansion, Oxford will join the FlixBus network for the first time. Daily services from the city will connect passengers with Birmingham, Heathrow and Gatwick.
FlixBus Vice President, West Europe, Andreas Schorling said:Airport services are a clear customer favourite, and enhancing airport services is a core element of our growth plans this year – offering more of the great value, sustainability and reliability that passengers expect from FlixBus!
FlixBus notes that the new routes are intended to provide direct airport connections and reduce the need for multiple train changes in London.
The launch forms part of an expanded partnership with Prospect Coaches, which will operate the services. Prospect is introducing 13 new FlixBus-branded Irizar i6S coaches, increasing its total FlixBus fleet to 27 vehicles.
Nathan Hadley, Managing Director of Prospect Coaches said:We’re beyond excited to expand with FlixBus in this fantastic segment of the market which has so much potential. We see first-hand how much passengers love to travel on the network, as FlixBus continues to grow the express coach market.
