Frequentis has signed a major contract with AirNav Ireland, the Air Navigation Service Provider of Ireland, to deliver a state-of-the-art contingency air situation display system (CASDS).
This project underscores Frequentis’ commitment to advancing air traffic management (ATM) systems both in Europe and globally.
AirNav Ireland is modernising its infrastructure to meet evolving air traffic demands and regulatory requirements. To ensure business continuity and avoid common cause failures with the main ATM system, Frequentis will provide a new solution to replace the existing contingency system. This solution includes advanced technologies as well as five years of support and maintenance from Frequentis.
Dr. Peter Kearney, Chief Executive AirNav Ireland, said:Our partnership with Frequentis underscores our dedication to implementing advanced solutions that improve our ATM in fallback scenarios and ensure business continuity.
Under the contract, Frequentis will provide advanced ATM modules within the PRISMA solution. This robust, full-blown ATM system encompasses a flight data processing system, Safety Nets, surveillance data display, and MSDF, a multi-sensor data fusion and tracking system. Additionally, GuardX, a sophisticated recording solution for synchronous replay of various audio, video, and digital sources, and MosaiX, Frequentis’ state-of-the-art management and deployment system, will also be included.
Constantin von Reden, Managing Director of Frequentis Comsoft and member of the Frequentis OneATM Executive Team, said:We are delighted to support AirNav Ireland with this innovative CASDS, showcasing our OneATM approach to enhance operational efficiency and safety with integrated technologies.
Micro Nav Ltd, a UK-based company specialising in ATM simulation and training solutions, will also supply their BEST simulator, an advanced simulation and testing tool, to complement Frequentis’ suite by offering full integration with the PRISMA ATM system.
