Members of the House of Lords are set to begin a detailed examination of the Sustainable Aviation Fuel Bill in the committee stage on Wednesday 10 December.
The Bill looks to introduce a revenue certainty mechanism in order to support the production of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) within the UK by via the designation of a government-owned counterparty that would handle the establishment of contracts with SAF producers.

This Wednesday; members will work through the clauses in order in order to consider changes and amendments to the wording or proposals for new clauses.
Thus far, two days of committee stage have been scheduled, this Wednesday (10 December) and the following Wednesday (17 December).
Members speaking on day one are set to consider amendments to the bill relating to rules and limits on revenue certainty contracts; power-to-liquid fuels (SAF of non-biological origin); reports on UK sustainable fuel production and targets; obligations of airline travel providers and potential impact on air travel ticket fares.
