The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has unveiled its 2026 event calendar, which aims to promote a series of events that bring together both industry leaders and government leaders in order to discuss pressing matters across the airport sector.

Following a calendar of events that attracted over 11,000 industry and government delegates in 2025; IATA is set to expand its event offering from 16 to 18 in 2026 – introducing two new events.

The IATA will add two new events to its yearly calendar in 2026

The two new events consist of the IATA World Maintenance & Engineering Symposium (23-25 June, Madrid, Spain) & Wings of Change Middle East & North Africa (8-9 September, Manama, Bahrain), which will spotlight supply chain challenges in the aerospace industry and rapid growth, respectively.

Other key events across 2026 include the return of the World Cargo Symposium (10-12 March, Lima, Peru), World Data Symposium (8-9 April, Singapore), World Safety and Operations Conference (6-8 October, Istanbul, Turkey), World Sustainability Symposium (October, Brussels, Belgium), World Passenger Symposium (Q4 2026, TBC) and World Financial Symposium (Q4 2026, TBC).

Frederic Leger, Senior Vice President, IATA Products & Services, said:

Uniquely, IATA, through our global events, assembles the most influential voices across the industry to tackle air transport’s biggest challenges and opportunities.

Whether taking the next step in digitalising cargo operations, developing a common approach to adopting more economical payment solutions, or addressing the need to unlock Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) production, our events ensure that the right decision-makers are in the room to drive action.
