Manchester Airports Group (MAG) has recorded its busiest October on record, having served 5.9 million passengers across the month – an increase of 1.1% year-on-year.
The group, which operates Manchester Airport, London Stansted and East Midlands Airport, also had a rolling 12-month total of 65.8 million passengers, an increase of 2.9% over 2024.

Manchester Airport itself celebrated two full years of record monthly performances this October, in which it served 2.9 million passengers during the month (an increase of 2.3% year-on-year). The airport’s rolling 12-month total increased by 5.1% when compared to 2024 (31.9 million passengers total).
At London Stansted; 2.7 million passengers were served through its terminal in October, an increase of 0.2% year-on-year and a record for the month. The airport’s rolling 12-month total was 29.9 million passengers, a 1.9% increase on 2024.
Meanwhile; East Midlands Airport handled over 38,000 tonnes of cargo across the month, a 21.7% increase on data from October 2024. In total, more than 393,000 passengers used the airport in October, a decrease of 1.8% year-on-year.
Finally, operational performance saw 99% of passengers across all three airports pass through security in 15 minutes or less.
