Melbourne Airport has completed the rollout of a new airport-wide operations management system supplied by Veovo. This investment advances its long-term strategy to modernise infrastructure and improve coordination.
The deployment establishes a single, web-based view of live operational data, bringing together flight schedules, resource allocation and stakeholder activity in one shared environment. The change is intended to help frontline teams, planners and ground handlers make faster decisions while reducing reliance on fragmented legacy systems.

The milestone comes as Melbourne Airport continues to experience sustained growth, with annual passenger numbers now exceeding 37 million. Rising traffic levels and increasingly complex operations have driven investment in technology designed to strengthen resilience while maintaining safety, punctuality and customer experience.
Central to the system is a “management by exception” approach, which highlights disruptions, alerts and operational changes that require immediate attention. Airport officials believe this will enable staff to intervene earlier during delays or resource constraints, improving recovery times and minimising knock-on impacts across the network.
Anthony Tomai CIO Melbourne Airport, said:Working closely with Veovo, we have put in place a modern operations platform that supports current performance and creates a strong foundation for more coordinated and intelligent airport operations.
The technology is delivered through a continuous integration and delivery model, allowing regular updates, security improvements and new features to be introduced without major system overhauls. This flexibility will help the platform evolve alongside operational demands and regulatory requirements.
Following the operational rollout, Melbourne Airport is preparing to introduce a complementary revenue management capability for aeronautical billing later in 2026, extending the modernisation effort beyond day-to-day operations into financial processes.
James Williamson, CEO of Veovo, said:This project is about partnership as much as technology. Together with Melbourne Airport, we have delivered a resilient operational platform that supports confident operation and resourcing decisions and accelerates their path to Total Airport Management.
