Menzies Aviation Announces Ground Services Contracts in Mexico

Menzies Aviation has acquired new ground services contracts with seven airlines in Mexico, where Menzies now operates at 31 airports.

Menzies will provide passenger, ramp, and cabin cleaning services for American Airlines, Aeroflot, Air Canada, Delta Air Lines, Flair Airlines, Frontier Airlines, and TAG Airlines.

The new contracts include two additional contracts with American Airlines at Chetumal (CTM) and Manzanillo (ZLO), which build on Menzies’ existing relationship with American Airlines across 16 Mexican airports.

Furthermore, Menzies has won a contract at Cancun (CUN) for Aeroflot’s recently launched operations. Menzies will also provide new services at Cancun (CUN) for Flair Airlines, Frontier Airlines, and TAG Airlines.

TAG Airlines has contracted Menzies to provide ground handling services at Merida (MID), Oaxaca (OAX), Tuxla Gutierrez (TGZ) and Guadalajara (GDL), while the contract with Flair Airlines also includes operations at Los Cabos (SJD).

Menzies Aviation has secured contracts with Air Canada to provide ramp and cabin cleaning services at Huatulco (HUX) and Zihuatanejo (ZIH). Air Canada frequently works with Menzies, but these are the company’s first contracts with the airline in Mexico.

For Delta Airlines, Menzies will now service 355 flights a year from Guadalajara Airport (GDL) and 575 flights a year at Monterrey Airport (MTY). Monterrey is a new airport for Menzies’s operations, and is thus its 31st airport in Mexico.

This announcement follows Menzies winning a contract with Aeromexico in November 2021, which includes ground handling services at 15 airports across Mexico.

John Redmond, Executive Vice President, Americas, Menzies Aviation, said:

“We are excited to further expand our presence in Latin America with these new contract wins across Mexico, which highlight the positive reputation Menzies has built for providing safe, secure and consistent quality service across the region. We look forward to continuing to strengthen and grow our relationships with each of these airlines in the future.”
