Miami International Airport (MIA) has officially opened the first Wait n’ Rest sleep rooms in North America – the second location worldwide.

A set of 15 new Wait n’ Rest luxury sleep rooms are now available inside MIA’s Concourse D, all of which can occupy between one to four guests and include hotel-level bedding and linen, in-room touchscreen entertainment and information monitors, as well as access to private showers and bathrooms, towels, snacks and beverages at an hourly rate up to eight hours.

MIA has announced plans to open a second location in Concourse H later this summer.

Miami-Dade County Mayor, Daniella Levine Cava, said:

Thanks to Wait n’ Rest, finding a comfortable, convenient place to get refreshed, recharged, and rejuvenated while traveling through MIA just got much easier.

I am proud to welcome the first Wait n’ Rest location in North America to Miami-Dade County, and I look forward to seeing their high-demand service provide rest and relaxation to our visitors from around the world.

The Wait n’ Rest concept enables passengers to step away from airport crowds to rest, and are strategically located minutes from potential boarding gates. Each suite is configured to suit both travellers seeking recovery and those looking for a private environment for meetings or focused work.

Short stays begin at 40 USD for 60 minutes for one guest, with rates increasing based on occupancy (55 USD for two guests, 70 USD for three guests and 85 USD for four guests). An eight-hour overnight package starts at 200 USD for one guest, 215 USD for two guests, 230 USD for three guests and 245 USD for four guests.
