Munich Airport has been named Airport of the Year at the 51st ATW Annual Airline Industry Achievement Awards.

Awarded to the Airport in Lisbon; the accolade recognises the airport for its roles in airline partnership, innovation, growth and sustainability.

The panel cited the airports cooperation with airlines, such as its joint venture in Terminal 2, and the opening of a new bus depot for electric buses, commissioning of solar-powered charging stations for electric vehicles and the testing of autonomous wheelchairs.
