The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, in partnership with American Airlines and Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield (URW) Airports, has announced a new lineup of 21 dining, retail, and entertainment brands at John F. Kennedy International Airport’s Terminal 8.
These additions are part of a 125 million USD commercial redevelopment project at the terminal.
The new concessions will showcase national brands, like Eataly and Momofuku’s Peach Palace, as well as local New York favourites, such as Black Tap, Alidoro, and Harlem Chocolate Factory.
This redevelopment is taking place within JFK’s 19 billion USD modernisation plan, which includes the 400 million USD expansion of Terminal 8 completed in 2022.
With this initiative, JFK’s Terminal 8 will offer a diverse array of food, products, and services, making it a true reflection of New York’s cultural diversity.
Port Authority Chairman Kevin O’Toole said:Airports are the front door to our region and as such it’s important that travellers from around the world get to experience the culture, traditions and diversity that make this region unique while they’re at JFK. Empowering local and diverse businesses to join our concessions program at the airports helps to create the world-class travel experiences passengers have come to expect.
