AMS Aircraft Recovery has announced the launch of its new Disabled Aircraft Recovery Dolly.
The Dolly, which has been designed to clear blocked runways resulting from blown tyres or damaged wheels and landing gear, is capable of use for both nose and main landing gear scenarios.

Capable of handling incidents involving landing gears of narrow-body commercial aircraft, regional jets and business aircraft, the vehicle touts a 38-tonne capacity.
Features of the Dolly include integrated running gear for quick deployment and a multi-faceted hydraulics system capable of lowering the platform deck as well as offering efficient pull power.
Paul Ryder, AMS Sales Director commented:Although blown tires are frequent, they can result in lengthy delays to airfield operations. Drawing on our many years of experience, we designed a tool that can be safely used by airfield personnel to mobilize the disabled aircraft quickly and minimize the risk of secondary damage to aircraft.
