ParkIT Powers New Manchester Airport Contact-Free Valet Car-Park
ParkIT, the leader in parking optimization software, has completed its latest implementation at Manchester Airport, offering a fully automated and self-service experience.
Manchester Airport’s new ‘Drop & Go’ service will provide customers with a frictionless experience. State-of-the-art kiosks support customers through the check-in, customers’ cars are then parked by the airport team, and on return customers simply scan to collect their keys from lockers and return to their car parked a short distance away. All hardware is fully integrated into the ParkIT Core Platform, providing operation visibility over all vehicle, key, and staff movements.
Part of a major construction project, Manchester Airport has built a brand new 8,000 space multi-storey car park that will house the Drop & Go product. ParkIT were awarded the turnkey software solution contract for the car park and partnered with ANPR International Ltd who provided a fully automated Vehicle Damage Recording System that captures high-quality images of the vehicle when it enters the parking area.
Landside Operations Director at Manchester Airport, Wayne Poole, said:We were equally focused on building a fantastic customer experience and seamless operation at our newest facility. ParkIT was the obvious choice with its platform’s track record in managing several of our car parks. The process is super simple, the kiosks and lockers look great. Staff and customers are equally pleased.
Having launched to market only four years ago, ParkIT has seen exponential growth and now provides the software that powers some of the largest block parking operations in the UK. With over 30 operating bases across the UK, Canada, and New Zealand, ParkIT, part of the Holiday Extras group, continues to grow and support operators across the globe.
Managing Director at ParkIT, Oliver Ashford, said:We’re delighted to work with Manchester Airport on another successful project. I’m proud of the team’s ability to deliver this, given the ongoing challenging circumstances and how well the ParkIT platform has been improved to power a safe and secure operation post-COVID-19. We’re all looking forward to supporting Manchester Airport as it continues to welcome back passengers.
