Perth Airport has commenced a significant expansion and upgrade of Terminal 2 as part of its multi-billion-dollar investment programme.
The project will deliver new self-service check-in facilities, expanded passenger screening and departure lounge areas, and an enlarged baggage make-up hall. Design work is also underway to improve the southern passenger walkway.

Perth Airport Chief Executive Officer Jason Waters said:These works are critical to support our growing regional passenger base as it will almost double the passenger capacity within Terminal 2.
This expansion is more than just additional space — it’s about enhancing the customer experience and delivering our airline partners the capacity and efficiencies they need to grow their businesses.
Waters noted that regional passenger numbers at Perth Airport have increased by 3.7 percent over the past year alone, from 6 million to 6.24 million.
The Terminal 2 works form part of a wider capital projects programme at Perth Airport, which includes new car parks, road upgrades, and improvements to retail and food and beverage facilities.
Perth Airport is working with partner contractor, Hoskins, to sequence the delivery of these major projects and optimise logistics to help minimise disruption.
Hoskins Managing Director Brett Hoskins said:This project highlights our strength in managing complex staging and logistics to ensure minimal disruption to operations at one of Australia's busiest airports. Our team will be working closely with Perth Airport to deliver an enhanced passenger experience while keeping Terminal 2 fully operational throughout construction.
