Perth Airport has announced an expansion of its partnership with Bechtel, with the company now having been appointed as the Capital Portfolio Partner for the Implementation Phase of its new slew of aviation infrastructure instalments – continuing its One Airport vision.

The two companies first partnered in early 2025, when Bechtel was named the Airport’s Capital Portfolio Partner to establish governance, tools and processes to integrate the projects and allow the programme to succeed.

Now, the two parties have formed an integrated team in order to manage the design and delivery of construction projects across a live operating airport environment.

Perth Airport CEO Jason Waters said:

Bechtel will work side-by-side with our team, providing specialist advice and supporting the delivery of our complex and ambitious infrastructure programme.

This is an exciting time for Perth Airport as momentum picks up on a range of critical projects including a new runway, new terminal facilities, two multi-storey car parks, significant upgrades to the road networks and the establishment of our first ever hotel.

This will result in the long-held vision for One Airport which will deliver greater efficiency for airlines and a better travel experience for passengers.

Thus far, the Airport has launched a number of projects across current facilities, including an expansion of Terminal 2, an overhaul of retail and food offerings, as well as 95 additional self-service check-in kiosks in Terminal 1.

By 2046, Airport bosses forecast that the site will facilitate 30 million passengers, generate 75,400 jobs and contribute 17 billon USD to the state’s annual economy.
