Schiphol Airport (AMS) has announced that 68.8 million travellers either flew to, from or via the airport during 2025 – an increase of 2.9% compared to 2024.
Of the 68.8 million passengers; 43.6 million flew either directly to or from Schiphol, with 25.2 million travellers catching a connecting flight from the airport.

The airport saw a total of 477,552 flights across the year (an increase of 1%), with most customers travelling to Spain, the United Kingdom, Italy, the United States or Turkey.
Providing direct connections for 301 destinations; Schiphol Airport has been named Europe’s second‑best connected airport in terms of direct connectivity by the ACI Airport Industry Connectivity Report 2025. In hub connectivity, the airport ranks third in Europe and fifth worldwide.
Schiphol Airport continues to see trends towards the use of quieter aircraft, with new changes seeing 32.6% of all flights between April and December 2025 falling into the two most quiet tariff categories – an increase of nearly 8.8% when compared with last year.
A new forecast for 2026 indicates this trend is set to continue, with flights set to become 15% quieter during the day and 32% quieter during the night.
Finally, the airport handled 1.43 million tonnes of cargo in 2025 – a decrease of 4% when compared to 2024 (1.49 million tonnes). There were a total of 15,348 cargo-only flights, a 2% decrease when compared to 2024 (15,661).
