Second Aspire Lounge Opening at Manchester Airport

Swissport international is further expanding its lounge business in the UK with the opening the second Aspire lounge at Manchester Airport on 1 February 2022. The new lounge complements the innovations in travel technology and state-of-the-art facilities of Terminal 2 with the modern design and comfort of the Aspire brand.

Swissport is opening a new Aspire Lounge in Manchester Airport’s Terminal 2. It complements the travel technology innovations and state-of-the-art facilities of the recently expanded Terminal 2 with the modern design and comfort of Aspire. The new lounge is the second under the Aspire brand in Manchester and further strengthens Swissport’s position as the largest airline-independent airport lounge provider in Europe.

Samuel Hunziker, Vice President Global Lounge of Swissport, said:

“The new Aspire lounge, offers passengers in Manchester a place to escape the hustle and bustle before their flight. With our second lounge in Manchester and a total of 28 lounges in the UK, we further drive the expansion of our successful lounge brands.”

The 240m2 lounge offers comfortable seating and a relaxing atmosphere for 81 guests. Visitors enjoy unique and carefully selected food and beverages in a modern, bright setting with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the busy airfield. Lounge amenities also include a fully equipped business area with desk booths allowing travelers to work in privacy and tranquility. The Aspire lounge is open daily from 5 a.m. to 1 p.m. and on weekends from 4 a.m. to 1 p.m. The lounge is accessible to all passengers for an admission fee of £29.99 per adult £18.49 per child.

Swissport currently operates some 60 lounges at 35 airports worldwide and welcomes more than 5 million passengers per year. New Aspire lounges are opening soon in Perth, Australia; Kilimanjaro, Tanzania; and Ontario, California.
