Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) has been awarded a 5-year license to provide ramp handling services at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) Terminal 4.
This new license, granted by JFK International Air Terminal (JFKIAT), will see WFS manage all ramp handling activities and cabin cleaning services at one of the airport’s busiest terminals.
Susana Desa, Vice President of Operations at JFKIAT said:We are excited to collaborate with WFS to offer world-class ground handling services to the airlines at Terminal 4. Their innovative and sustainable approach to below-wing operations aligns perfectly with the values of JFKIAT and Terminal 4.
WFS already provides passenger services for 12 airlines at JFK. Its new below-the-wing ramp handling license will become effective from 1 October 2024.
Mike Simpson, CEO of the Americas at WFS said:This is a significant advancement for our ground handling operations at JFK’s Terminal 4, enabling WFS to deliver a complete, end-to-end service for both passengers and aircraft. We appreciate JFKIAT’s thorough selection process, which highlights the critical importance of this license. It allowed us to showcase our capabilities in providing safe, world-class ramp handling services, backed by our extensive experience in ground operations, commitment to safety, and financial strength.
