After a busy and successful DSEI 2025, the Kromek team kept up momentum and attended several events and exhibitions across the UK and Europe throughout the autumn months. At these events, the team further amplified Kromek’s presence in various markets by meeting with other CBRN leaders and demonstrating Kromek’s extensive suite of detection capabilities.
The Emergency Services Show
From 17th to 18th September, Kromek’s Strategic Account Partner, Ken Nathan-Amissah, attended The Emergency Services Show in Birmingham, UK. Here, he discussed the latest solutions in radiation detection with Blue Light professionals, and how Kromek’s detectors continue to help safeguard users in this sector. Ran by Nineteen Group, The Emergency Services Show gives attendees the opportunity to explore the latest technological innovations in emergency response and public safety.
International Security Expo
Michael Stephenson, Strategy and Commercial Director, and Ken Nathan-Amissah, exhibited at International Security Expo (ISE) in London, from 30th September to 1st October, demonstrating the capabilities of Kromek’s Security and Defence Portfolio in supplying rapid, reliable radiological data to Security Sectors and Government Bodies across the globe.
ISE creates a space for exhibitors to meet and speak with a range of active buyers. As a result, the Kromek team were able to further strengthen Kromek’s longstanding relationship with the UK Home Office and engaged with various other government bodies and industry professionals in the security space.
Michael and Ken also had the pleasure of speaking with Dan Jarvis, Minister of State (Minister of Security) at ISE, and discussed a range of hot topics in the security space, including how to better support SMEs, further assist UK business exports and continue to secure UK access to EU security contracts.


15th CBRNe Protection Symposium 2025
This year, the 15th CBRNe Protection Symposium 2025 was held in Malmo, Sweden from 30th September to 2nd October, and gave industry players and institutes the opportunity to display their latest products and research in an extensive exhibition of CBRNe protection equipment.
Craig Duff, Director of Products and Programmes, and José Jimenez, responsible for CBRN Sales in Europe, both attended the event, and exchanged ideas with fellow industry professionals about the next steps forward in CBRN protection.
Not only did Craig and José get to demonstrate the instant detection capabilities of the small, lightweight D3S ID and D3M personal radiation detectors (PRDs) on our stand, they also had the opportunity to showcase the D5 RIID, the smallest and lightest RIID on the market, on Bruhn NewTech’s stand with their NATO-compatible network software solution.

World Nuclear Exhibition
Switching focus to radiological and nuclear threat detection in the Civil Nuclear space, Sales Account Manager, Rachel Brown, attended the World Nuclear Exhibition in Paris, France from 4th to 6th November.
Key players in the Civil Nuclear industry from all over the world come to the bi-annual World Nuclear Exhibition. As a result, Rachel was able to catch-up with many of Kromek’s partners and distributors at the event, and showcase Kromek’s range of small, compact and portable Civil Nuclear radiation detectors at our partner APVL’s stand.

NCT Europe
Back in the UK, Mari Tuomela, Head of Sales, Michael Walton, Product Manager, and Ken-Nathan Amissah joined other CBRN professionals at NCT Europe, from 12th to 13th November, at the Fire Service College in Moreton-in-Marsh, UK.
NCT Europe came together from a collaboration between the UK Ministry of Defence, the National CBRN Centre, Cranfield University, CBRNe Society, and NCT Consultants, and aims to showcase solutions that allow authorities to better coordinate and prepare for national and international CBRN or Hazmat incidents.
Mari, Michael and Ken were able to speak with representatives from government, industry, counter-terrorism policing and academic panels, and talk through the latest updates in Kromek’s Security and Defence portfolio, including the new communication and location capabilities of the D5 RIID.


Milipol Paris
From Malmo, Sweden, and then to Paris, France, José Jimenez attended Milipol Paris from 18th to 21st November with Kromek’s partner Scopex. It was non-stop at Scopex’s stand, where José had the chance to introduce himself to old and new faces in international Homeland Security, and present the various detection and identification capabilities of Kromek’s high-performing D range of detectors.

As a key player in innovation in CBRN detection technology, Kromek will continue to partake in important conversations surrounding effective threat management in these uncertain times, forging new industry relationships and strengthening existing partnerships.
