On 25 June the Supervisory Board of Flughaven Köln/Bonn GmbH elected to extend the contract of managing director Cenk Özöztürk early by an additional five years.

Cenk Özöztürk will therefore remain part of the airport’s management team until 2032, working to drive the airport’s development together with Chairman of the Management Board, Thilo Schmid.
Prof. Klaus-Dieter Scheurle, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Flughafen Köln/Bonn GmbH, said:Cenk Özöztürk embodies a high level of professional expertise, great commitment and a close connection to Cologne/Bonn Airport. With his in-depth understanding of day-to-day operations, he has been actively shaping the airport's development for many years and takes responsibility for key future projects – such as optimising passenger processes and expanding digital services as part of the 'Next Chapter' programme. We are delighted that Cenk Özöztürk will be continuing his successful work in the years to come. By extending his contract ahead of schedule, we are ensuring long-term stability and setting the course for achieving the company's ambitious goals together with all our staff.
Cenk Özöztürk became the managing director of the airport in summer 2024; however, he first started working at the airport in 2013. In his role as COO he is responsible for aviation, ground services, human resources, infrastructure and information technology.
