SATS Ltd and Aeropuerto Internacional de Tocumen, S.A., the operator of Panama’s Tocumen International Airport, have announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that will see both parties explore strategic collaboration opportunities to both strengthen air cargo connectivity and support the development of Panama as a leading logistics gateway for the Americas.
Under the the MoU, the two companies will explore cargo area development at Tocumen International Airport, as well as and air cargo handling facilities and operations within Tocumen Cargo City.

The partnership is expected to leverage the strengths of both hubs in order to deepen trade connectivity, develop new cargo flows, and support the growing movement of goods between both Asia and the Americas, as well as create new jobs within the airport ecosystem.
