The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ) and Clear Channel Airports (CCA) are deploying advanced digital media infrastructure across the region’s airports.

As part of this transformation, a new all-digital media network has been installed LaGuardia Airport’s reimagined Terminal C.

PANYNJ and Clear Channel signed a 12-year contract in November 2020 to upgrade the digital displays in Port Authority airports. Clear Channel is currently modernising the advertising programme at Newark Liberty International, John F. Kennedy International, New York Stewart International and LaGuardia.

Port Authority Executive Director Rick Cotton said:

Spacious interiors, floor-to-ceiling windows, inspiring public art, iconic restaurants and shops and Clear Channel’s extraordinary digital displays all combine to meet the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey’s new standard in airports: award-winning, best-in-class facilities worthy of the region.

The new all-digital displays in LaGuardia Airport Terminal C include:

  • Two 50 foot-wide, 90-degree corner LED soffits
  • A 43-foot-wide video wall
  • Six large LED displays at key gate-hold areas
  • A network of 98-inch ultra-high-definition displays
  • Two large format video walls on the descent to baggage claim
  • A network of 75-inch portrait ultra-high-definition displays across the arrivals floor

As air travel recovers from the COVID-19 pandemic, PANYNJ states that the growing number of travellers increases the potential for brands to connect with an audience through airport advertising.
