Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) has become the first airport to install Pluie’s self-sanitising baby changing tables.

The new changing tables have been installed in the male and female bathrooms and the mother and nurses room in American Airlines’ Terminal C to help create a frictionless and seamless travel experience for parents and caregivers.

DFW Changing Tables
Pluie changing tables use a UV-C light system which is contained behind a child-proof barrier and only activates when the table is closed

Pluie’s changing tables feature two UV-C lightbulbs which sanitise the changing surface in less than a minute. This technology is widely used in hospitals to sterilise surfaces, as UV light breaks the DNA’s chemical bonds and kills 99.9 percent of bacteria and viruses, including e. coli, influenza and coronavirus.

Pluie has designed the tables to offer a larger changing space with a water resistant, leak-proof cushion. In addition, the product features a wide security strap, multipurpose handles and a gas spring for easy open and close release.

After use, the security strap retracts into the table to ensure it remains in the “clean zone”

DFW hopes that these changing tables will help the terminal to deliver an exceptional travel experience.
