JFK Millennium Partners (JMP) has issued multiple requests for proposals (RFPs) for guest services, security, and maintenance services ahead of the opening of John F. Kennedy International Airport’s Terminal 6 (T6) in the first quarter of 2026.
Guest Services RFP
JMP is seeking a partner to develop and implement a guest services programme at Terminal 6.
Responsibilities will include:
- Staffing and training personnel at key touchpoints
- Facilitating access to terminal amenities
- Providing expertise on T6 and JFK operations
- Enhancing passenger experience through proactive engagement
Security Services RFP
JMP is also looking for a security services provider to collaborate with its safety and security team. The selected partner will oversee:
- Traffic management
- Employee screening
- Visitor and vendor processing
- Terminal access control and alarm response
Maintenance and Janitorial Services RFP
A third RFP covers terminal maintenance and janitorial services. The selected provider(s) will be responsible for:
- Building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection
- Baggage handling systems and passenger boarding bridges
- Waste management, pest control, and landscaping
- Interior and exterior cleaning
JMP is prioritising the inclusion of Minority & Women Business Enterprises (MWBE), Local Business Enterprises (LBE), and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses (SDVOB). Participation goals include 30% MWBE, 10% LBE, and 3% SDVOB involvement. All RFP participants must submit diversity plans outlining their approach to meeting these targets.
Terminal 6 at JFK
Terminal 6 is being developed in two phases, with the first six gates opening in 2026 and full completion by 2028.
The terminal will include 10 gates, with nine accommodating widebody aircraft. It will also feature modern baggage handling, security screening, and customs facilities, alongside a new ground transportation centre.
