JFKIAT is deploying Synect’s ReadySeeGo communication systems at security checkpoints across John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) Terminal 4.
This technology aims to optimise passenger flow, capacity and automation at security to enhance and expedite the passenger experience.
Currently, 11 ReadySeeGo Digital Communication Totems have been installed at JFK T4’s first and fourth-floor TSA security checkpoints.
They are powered by Synect’s Passenger360 visual communication platform, which allows airports to display information on wait times, Automated Screening Lane (ASL) instructions and divestment reminders.
Steve Tukavkin, VP IT & Digital of JFKIAT said:As JFK International Airport’s busiest terminal, it's important to invest in solutions that will help streamline our operations and make our passengers’ journey from curb to gate as seamless as possible. We are proud to partner with Synect to enhance our passengers’ airport experience and allow them to easily navigate our terminal.
By providing clear, real-time wait times, the totems aim to decrease anxiety about perceived wait times.
Meanwhile, they also remind passengers to have the correct documents ready and to ensure their baggage is compliant with security regulations. This helps reduce processing time and decreases the need for security personnel to repeat instructions.
To ensure engagement, the totems display eye-catching animations. Information is then automatically relayed to passengers.
In addition, scenario-based content and emergency messaging can also easily be activated on the displays.
Yahav Ran, CEO of Synect said:JFKIAT’s new security checkpoint at Terminal 4 engages passengers, increases throughput, enhances capacity, and delivers automated operations at the security checkpoint. We are delighted to work with JFKIAT to help them enhance passenger experience and streamline operations.
