Santiago Terminal Project gets BDI Deflectors

Blast Deflectors, Inc. (BDI) has completed phase one of their project at the Comodoro Arturo Merino Benitez International Airport in Santiago, Chile. The project is broken down into two phases, in which BDI will be supplying a total of nine areas of jet blast deflectors (JBDs.)

Eight of the JBDs are for taxi/breakaway operations of Code C (ADG-III) commercial aircraft and one is for full power engine run-ups of code E (ADG-V) commercial aircraft. This project is a part of the airport’s expansion works that include a new international terminal opening in 2020 and the expansion of departure areas.
