Swissport has opened a new executive aviation terminal at Marrakech Airport, Morocco.

Swissport Executive Aviation is a subsidiary of Swissport International AG. It has expanded its operations in Morocco following its first fixed-base operation for business and executive aviation in Casablanca in 2018. Swissport has moved into a dedicated VIP terminal in Marrakech Menara Airport that opened on 1 February.

The new terminal, for VIP flights and executive aviation features state-of-the-art infrastructure aimed at making arrivals, stopovers and departures pleasant and straightforward. The facility in Marrakech is the company’s second in the country. The VIP terminal includes a building from ONDA, the Moroccan Airports Authority, for police and customs.

The terminal provides relaxing lounge space for a maximum of forty passengers over 500 square metres. There is a bar and media corner. The terminal further includes a VVIP lounge that can accommodate a maximum of nine passengers. The first floor is for crew members only and can take up to 18 people. It allows them to relax and prepare for upcoming flights. The crew area features a television lounge, a kitchen, two large bedrooms as well as bathrooms with showers.

Swissport Executive Aviation was launched at Nice Côte d’Azur Airport in 2001. The business line now handles more than 24,000 flights annually at over ninety locations globally. The ninety locations are distributed throughout 25 countries, such as Kenya, Tanzania, Algeria and South Africa.
