The 2026 Farnborough International Airshow yielded 62.9 billion GBP in announced aircraft, engine and helicopter deals during its four trade days, according to figures released by ADS Group.
ADS recorded 353 firm aircraft orders, 904 firm engine orders and 10 firm helicopter orders, with the activity expected to contribute 10.8 billion GBP to the UK aerospace sector.
Commercial aircraft orders remained a key feature of the show, with major announcements from airlines and lessors across both narrowbody and widebody programmes.
Among the largest commitments was SMBC Aviation Capital, which placed orders for 100 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft and 100 Airbus A320neo Family aircraft, splitting its order between the two manufacturers.
Riyadh Air expanded its long-haul fleet with an order for 28 Boeing 787 Dreamliners and six Airbus A350-1000s, while Philippine Airlines committed to 15 Boeing 787-10 Dreamliners, with options for five more, alongside an order for nine Airbus A350 aircraft and purchase rights for an additional five.
In addition, AerCap ordered 15 Boeing 787 Dreamliners, MSC Air Cargo selected five Boeing 777-8 Freighters, and Uganda Airlines announced orders for Boeing 737 MAX 8 and 787-9 aircraft. Airbus also secured an order from flynas for an additional 25 A320neo Family aircraft.
Regional aircraft manufacturer Embraer also announced new business during the show, including agreements with Fuji Dream Airlines, Abra Group and Binter covering aircraft from its E-Jet family.
Alongside aircraft orders, engine manufacturers announced significant agreements. British Airways selected Pratt & Whitney GTF engines for 63 Airbus aircraft, while IndiGo signed an agreement with CFM International covering more than 1,000 LEAP-1A engines to support future fleet expansion.
