Houston Airports has awarded the retail and concessions contracts for George Bush Intercontinental Airport’s (IAH) new international terminal, which is currently under construction.

Houston City Council has granted the final approvals the airport’s contracts to Paradies Lagardère and SSP America.

The two 10-year agreements are expected to generate up to 116 million USD in revenue for Houston Airports and will create at least 390 jobs.

Houston Aviation Director Mario Diaz said:

As one of the biggest and most modern airport facilities in the country, the new international terminal at IAH deserves the best dining and shopping experiences. As we expand our reach across the world, offering unique local, regional and national concepts ensures all customers will experience Houston’s diverse and vibrant flavours without ever having to leave the airport.

Both operators have committed to implementing new technologies within Bush Airport’s new terminal, such as self-ordering kiosks, 24/7 access for delayed passengers, and gate service and advanced ordering opportunities.

The contracts for both SSP America and Paradies Lagardère will begin upon completion of the new international terminal, which is expected in late 2024.
