Electric Shuttles to Operate at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport

Endera has delivered two fully electric shuttles to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) for use by ACE Parking.

The shuttles will be used as part of PHX’s parking operations, which have been managed by ACE parking for over 20 years.

These will be the first fully electric shuttles to be deployed at the airport.

Steve Burton, President ACE Parking said:

“ACE is proud to deliver for our customer Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport their first all-electric shuttles which will serve the traveling public of Phoenix with zero emissions moving forward. Where many companies have been talking and promising an electric future, ACE has been pioneering and actually delivering for our airport customers over the past three years, and will continue to do so for many years to come.”

Each shuttle will be able to travel up to 130 miles on a single charge when operating at maximum capacity – 26 passengers. The shuttles can then be fully charged in two hours and 15 minutes.

Endera said this was the most efficient shuttle of its size on the US market.

Additionally, the shuttles are equipped with Endera’s technology to automate records and reporting for the operations team.

John Walsh, CEO of Endera said:

“Using AI-driven telematics and safety technology, the Endera shuttle buses being used at Sky Harbor Airport are technologically advanced. We were able to help ACE Parking and Sky Harbor Airport accomplish their sustainability goals and show a compelling reduction in energy and maintenance costs for these vehicles.

“The vehicles and their technology are revolutionising the way fleets are managed at airports, hospitals, universities, and any other application where high occupancy vehicles are utilised. Our smart technology coupled with the resulting efficiency saves fleet operators precious financial and energy resources.”
