The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has given the official go-ahead to proceed with a public consultation regarding reinstating airspace around Doncaster Sheffield Airport.
Seen as a crucial step in the airport’s re-opening; the consultation around the Airspace Change Proposal (ACP) will seek responses from both residents and stakeholders, and will be open for comment between Monday 3 August and Sunday 4 October.
The consultation reflects the latest milestone in the airport’s re-opening process, and stands as a regulatory requirement that must be met in order for control of the airspace surrounding the site to be granted.
Any and all interested parties will be invited to view detailed plans via an online consultation portal, where views can also be submitted for review.
A series of in-person events will also be held, with physical copies of the documents associated with the consultation set to be available at 14 locations within the local area.
