Perth Airport has appointed a joint venture of Duratec Limited and West Coast Civil Pty Ltd to provide early contractor involvement (ECI) services for its Jet Fuel Expansion Program.
The appointment marks the start of the ECI phase, during which the Duratec–West Coast Civil Joint Venture (DWJV) will progress the project through concept design. The work will support the development of additional aviation fuel infrastructure as part of Perth Airport’s wider multi-billion-dollar expansion programme.
The project will focus initially on developing concepts for future jet fuel distribution across the airport estate. It follows the airport’s acquisition of its existing on-site jet fuel storage and distribution infrastructure and forms part of the ongoing investment to increase fuel capacity.
Steve Moreland, Chief Planning and Projects Officer at Perth Airport, said:Following our acquisition of the on airport current jet fuel storage and distribution infrastructure, Perth Airport is now investing further to strengthen capacity and support the continued growth of Western Australia’s aviation sector.
Reliable and efficient fuel infrastructure is essential to enable future growth at Perth Airport. The Jet Fuel Expansion Program forms a key component of Perth Airport’s long-term development, which will consolidate commercial passenger services into a central precinct while enhancing critical enabling infrastructure.
