Centralny Port Komunikacyjny has announced a tender for the design, delivery and implementation of the Baggage Handling System (BHS) for the CPK Airport in Poland.
This system will be crucial for ensuring efficient and accurate baggage handling within the airport.
The competitive dialogue procedure for this tender is open for applications until 12 February 2024. This process will analyse the system’s conceptual design and implementation methods.
Mikołaj Wild, CEO of CPK said:Baggage Handling System is the heart of every airport. We have launched the competitive dialogue procedure, which in its first stage will identify the most suitable industry players. In the second stage, once the cooperation conditions have been defined, we will invite four potential contractors to submit final bids. Our goal is to have a reliable system that will ensure quick luggage transfer for the passengers transferring at CPK, while no bags being lost.
The scope of this call includes project development, supply and installation of equipment, commissioning of the system, testing, operation and maintenance.
In addition, the scope may be extended to include the delivery of checked baggage screening devices.
As part of the design process, CPK has already reviewed baggage handling solutions used at Incheon Airport in Seoul, South Korea, where only one in a million bags are currently lost.
