Norfolk International Airport (ORF) has celebrated the opening of a new three gate expansion of Concourse A, alongside a pair of new locally themed concessions.

The new additions to the airport follow last month’s debut of a newly upgraded Federal Inspection Services facility, which will be used by US Customs and Border Protection to process international arrivals.

Spanning almost 19,000 square feet over two stories; the Concourse A extension has seen the addition of expansive seating at gates A10, A11 and A12, as well as two new food and beverage options – High Tide Bar Bites & Town Center Cold Pressed.

Other additional amenities include restrooms and an indoor pet relief area.

American Airlines has now begun using Concourse A’s newest gates, whilst Breeze Airways will relocate into Concourse A later this spring to help balance airline operations and passenger flow within ORF.

Work is now underway on a series of road realignments that will greatly enhance drivers’ ability to move both in and out of the airport campus, with further ORF improvements planned for 2026 including an onsite consolidated car rental facility and the first stages of a comprehensive terminal upgrade.
