Plaza Premium Group (PPG) today celebrated the Grand Opening of Plaza Premium First and Plaza Premium Lounge at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK). This marks the arrival of PPG’s dual-lounge offering in Thailand, establishing a flagship presence in one of Southeast Asia’s primary international travel gateways.

The inauguration was marked by an official ceremony attended by PPG leadership, Airports of Thailand representatives, and key industry stakeholders. In 2025, BKK recorded 62.9 million passengers, with international traffic accounting for over 80% of total volume. Airports of Thailand advances a major infrastructure expansion to increase annual capacity from 65 to 80 million by 2030 — growth that positions the airport as a strategic anchor for PPG’s market entry in Thailand. The investment underscores the Group’s commitment to expanding its global footprint while elevating pre-flight experiences through personalised hospitality, thoughtful design, and local cultural authenticity.

Two Distinct Travel Experiences

Located airside on Concourse G, both lounges cater to two distinct culinary and hospitality experiences across 790 square metres:

Plaza Premium First (PPF): Elevated Refinement

Spanning 212 square metres with a capacity for over 50 guests, PPF offers an intimate, highly personalised environment featuring private lounge bays, shower suites, and dedicated concierge assistance. Dining centres on Primo Dining, an à la carte concept featuring refined Thai specialties such as Aep Pla (banana-leaf grilled fish), Tom Kha Gai, and Northern-style Khao Soi. At the centrepiece Aero Bar, guests can enjoy fine spirits, wine, and original cocktails like the Tom Yum-inspired Siamese Martini.

Plaza Premium Lounge (PPL): Warm Hospitality With a Sense of Place

Covering 578 square metres for up to 98 guests, PPL provides high-quality hospitality centred on comfort and convenience. The lounge features a live kitchen and buffet serving freshly prepared Som Tam, Gai Ping skewers, and Luk Chup sweets. Amenities include high-speed Wi-Fi, recharge stations, shower suites, a multi-faith room, and family facilities.

Immersive Local Art & Design

In line with PPG’s design philosophy, both lounges showcase curated works by contemporary Thai artists. The art program incorporates local cultural motifs and creative mediums, featuring custom silk embroidery, glass mosaics, plant-dyed textiles, and denim-crafted cityscapes that celebrate Thailand’s rich artistic heritage.

Song Hoi-See, Founder and CEO at Plaza Premium Group, said:

Thailand remains one of Southeast Asia’s primary aviation and tourism gateways, making Suvarnabhumi Airport a natural home for our flagship dual-lounge launch. Bringing this concept to Bangkok allows us to offer travellers a distinct sense of place through authentic Thai flavours and art, while setting a new regional standard for choice, flexibility, and high-quality hospitality.

Kittipong Kittikachorn, General Manager of Suvarnabhumi Airport at Airports of Thailand (AOT), said:

We are excited to partner with Plaza Premium Group to introduce PPF and PPL at Suvarnabhumi Airport and to those transiting through Thailand. This strategic investment enhances BKK’s status as a premier international gateway by offering world-class facilities tailored to every traveller.

PPG has been honoured by Skytrax at the World Airline Awards for ten consecutive years. Its arrival in Thailand builds on its established presence across major international aviation hubs and its 28-year history of making travel better.

Both lounges are located airside on the third floor of Concourse G, near Gate G1 (Unit No. G3-010), at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport.

Access is open for passengers travelling internationally or transferring flights, the lounge service is accessible regardless of airline or class of service. You can access the lounge without a prior reservation, or you can book in advance at plazapremiumlounge.com. Additionally, multi-use Lounge Passes are available starting at 69 USD.
