Working with contractors W & L Interiors Ltd, Jewers Doors are delighted to complete the refurbishment of the existing Esavian folding doors and the replacement of fuselage doors at British Airways TBE Facility at Heathrow Airport.
The original Esavian doors were supplied over 50 years ago.
The new, power-operated fuselage doors are designed to close tightly around the rear end of the Airbus A319, A320, and A321. Keeping part of an aircraft within the controlled environment of the hangar for maintenance, repair, and overhaul, increases productivity.
Many of the largest aircraft hangar doors in the world are branded with the name Esavian – a name whose origins date back nearly a century. There are no standard sizes or generic specifications for Esavian hangar doors. Instead, each door is designed and manufactured to meet project-specific requirements such as the size of opening, climatic conditions, wind pressure loadings, architectural features and so on.
