Alstef Group has been awarded a contract for the baggage handling system project for Antalya Airport’s (AYT) Terminal 2 expansion.

The Turkish airport plans to expand its departures and arrivals areas to enhance the passenger experience and improve its passenger processing capabilities. This project is set to be completed by the first quarter of 2025.

Alstef’s contribution to the expansion of the departures area will consist of 80 new check-in conveyors, four new screening lines with Standard 3 EDS, a new tilt-tray sorter, 36 chutes and two new make-up carousels.

Meanwhile, the expansion at Antalya Airport’s arrivals section will feature five new inclined reclaim carousels, along with the associated feed lines.

These systems will be monitored and controlled by the Alstef Group’s software suite, BAGware.

The parties to the contract include Alstef Group’s subsidiary in Turkey, Alstef France; airport construction groups, JV TAV Construction and Sera Yapı; and the terminal operator, Fraport TAV Antalya (FTA).
