Aircraft Pushback Tractors
Aircraft pushback tractors are specialised vehicles used to push aircraft away from the gate or parking stand, allowing them to start their engines and taxi out to the runway. These tractors are typically small, powerful, and manoeuvrable, and are fitted with a tow bar or tow hitch that attaches to the nose landing gear of the aircraft. The driver of the tractor communicates with the pilot of the aircraft via radio, co-ordinating the pushback process and ensuring that the aircraft is safely moved away from the gate. Pushback tractors are an essential part of ground handling operations at airports, helping to ensure the smooth and efficient movement of aircraft. They are designed to be compatible with a range of aircraft types and sizes, and are equipped with safety features such as brakes, lights, and backup alarms to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of personnel and equipment.

De-icing Trucks
De-icing trucks at airports are specialised vehicles equipped with large tanks that contain de-icing fluids such as glycol. They are used to remove snow, ice and frost from the exterior of aircraft before takeoff. During cold weather, ice can accumulate on the wings, tail and fuselage of an aircraft, which can interfere with the aerodynamics of the plane and potentially cause it to crash. To prevent this from happening, de-icing trucks spray a mixture of water and de-icing fluid on to the aircraft's surface, breaking up and removing the ice. The suppliers on this page provide de-icing solutions.
